Information for Parents

Everything you need to know to support your child's learning journey.

How long are sessions?
Sessions are typically 30 or 45 minutes, depending on the plan you choose. Shorter sessions work great for Kindergarten students, while Grade 2 and 3 students often benefit from the full 45 minutes.
What do I need for virtual sessions?
Just a computer, tablet, or iPad with a camera and microphone, and a stable internet connection. We'll provide a Zoom or Google Meet link before every session. No special software needed!
How do I track my child's progress?
After each session, you'll receive a brief progress note in your Parent Dashboard. Monthly progress reports summarize growth in reading level, math skills, and areas we're focusing on next.
Can I sit in on sessions?
Absolutely! Parents are always welcome to observe. Many parents find it helpful to watch the first couple of sessions so they can reinforce the same strategies at home during reading time.
What is the cancellation policy?
I ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations. Life happens — one cancellation per month is always free. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged 50% of the session fee.
Do you work with students with learning differences?
Yes! I'm trained in Orton-Gillingham methods and have experience supporting students with dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning differences. Every child learns differently, and I tailor every session accordingly.
